Hall of Fame
In April 2007 Past-President Wayne Sudsbury instituted IMBA’s Hall of Fame to recognize the exemplary accomplishments of those Members of IMBA who have contributed to the Association’s success. IMBA thanks them for their tireless volunteer work and contributions by inducting them into the Hall.
Mal Eccles, CPMB – CIR Mortgage Corp., London

Mal was an inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame in May 2007 in recognition for his contributions to IMBA as one of its co-founders and the Association’s first President. Mal has served as Chair of IMBA’s Education Committee since May 2004 and has been instrumental in the development, launch and success of the Association’s education and training programs.
Mal, who was conferred with the Certified Professional Mortgage Broker (CPMB) designation in January 2007, is the principal of CIR Mortgage Corp., which he founded in the mid-1980s and which he operates in London, Ontario.
Shayam Kaushal, CPMB – Interfinance Mortgage Merchants Inc., Toronto

Shayam Kaushal has been active in mortgage brokering for 15 years. He is a partner at Interfinance Mortgage Merchants Inc., which is a family business. Interfinance specializes in B and C lending. They have extensive knowledge and experience in private lending. Shayam is married with one son and one daughter. He enjoys politics and sports.
Martin Marshall – Toronto

Martin was an inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame in May 2007 in recognition for his contributions to IMBA’s growth and development of the Association’s events, particularly WinterFest. Martin has served as a Director of IMBA since February 2004 and has been an enthusiastic supporter of IMBA both before and after his appointment as a Director.
Martin has over 25 years experience in the mortgage industry in both Sales and Operations Executive positions.
Lou Perrotta, CPMB – Domus Financial Corporation, Oakville

Lou was an inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame in May 2007 in recognition for his contributions to IMBA’s growth and organization. Lou has served as a Director of IMBA since May 2001 and as IMBA’s President from May 2003 to April 2004. Lou has also served as IMBA’s Treasurer, Chair of the 2004 and 2005 Conference Committees, Chair of the Communications Committee, and has served on several other committees.
Lou, who was conferred with the Certified Professional Mortgage Broker (CPMB) designation in January 2007, is the principal of Domus Financial Corporation, which he founded in January 2002 and which he operates in Oakville, Ontario.
Ted Batcher – Toronto

Ted was an inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame in April 2009 in recognition for his service as IMBA counsel from 2001 to 2008, giving countless hours of volunteer time to advise the Association.
Bob Andrew – Thornhill

Bob was an inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame in April 2009 in recognition for his contributions to IMBA’s redrafting of its corporate governance structure. Bob is a founding Director of IMBA.
Bob, who was conferred with the Certified Professional Mortgage Broker (CPMB) designation in January 2007, is the principal of Abacus Mortgages Inc., which is operated in Thornhill, Ontario.
Ed Karthaus – Toronto

Ed was an inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame in April 2009 in recognition for his instrumental contributions to the promotion of IMBA and its services through his numerous industry contacts.
Ed held the position of Appointed Director from 2006-2008 and Director Emeritus from 2008-2009.
