Become a Director

The Board of Directors of the Association invites the nomination of Active Members of the Association for the purpose of electing four (4) Active Members to the position of Elected Director. The term of office will be for a period of approximately three (3) years, commencing after the close of the Annual General Meeting of the Association that will be held on May 8, 2008 and ending at the close of the Annual General Meeting of the Association that will be held in 2011.

NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES FOR THE POSITIONS OF ELECTED DIRECTOR

Any Active Member, whose membership is in good standing, may propose the nomination of any other Active Member whose membership is in good standing as a candidate for election as an Elected Director to the Board of Directors of the Association.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTED DIRECTORS

Candidates for the position of Elected Director must be Active Members of the Association with at least one year’s tenure as a Member of the Association, at the time that they are nominated. The Governance Committee shall verify that each candidate is qualified to stand for election.

RETURN OF NOMINATIONS

Nominations of candidates must be received no later than thirty (30) days prior to the Election Day. The Secretary shall receive and present to the Board of Directors the names of the Active Members who have been nominated to become Directors within three (3) days after the close of the nomination period. The Secretary shall cause the names of the candidates to be circulated to all classes of membership no later than twenty (20) days prior to the Election Day.

BIOGRAPHY OF CANDIDATES

All nominees for Director, after consenting in writing to the said nomination, shall provide a brief biography to the Secretary of the Association for distribution to the Members prior to the election. The Secretary must be in receipt of nominations no later than 11:00 am on April 8, 2008 for them to be considered valid.
